Jesse Begin CFP®, EPC, RRC®
Jesse graduated with a business diploma majoring in financial services. After graduation he started a financial planning practice with IG Wealth Management. A successful financial planner celebrating 18 years of dedicated client services, with a strong desire for constant improvement, Jesse focuses on working with like-minded clients. The practice has grown rapidly, and because of the high level of client service provided, it is now primarily referral based. With an established client base, he became a Division Manager in fall of 2012 to train and help new advisors share successful careers. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) became aware of Jesse’s drive and focus on financial planning and asked him to join the SAIT business finance Program Advisory Board.
Jesse was fortunate enough to meet his best friend Carolyn and they were married in May of 2011. On February 20th, 2019, the family doubled in size with the birth of the twins: Kingston and Blakely. Two weeks after the twin’s first birthday they welcomed another baby, Marshall, to the family.
Charity and volunteering in youth hockey is a way for Jesse to give back to the Calgary community. In 2015 he won the “Helping Hands Award” for his dedication to Calgary charities and continual support of the IG Alzheimer’s run and walk. Since then, he has ran and raised funds for the Alzheimer’s society. Volunteering with junior hockey clubs has allowed Jesse to mix his favorite sport with community involvement. In 2018 Jesse participated in “The Ride” to cure cancer raising money for the Alberta cancer foundation. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Jesse has contributed to several homeless shelters and moved to a virtual run and donations for Alzheimer’s.
